About Crude Palm Oil

Crude Palm Oil is the primary product of the oil palm and the foundation of the entire palm value chain. iFlowdeck sources CPO directly from mills across Nigeria's palm belt in Edo, Delta, Cross River, Ondo and Ogun, where fresh fruit bunches are sterilised, threshed and pressed within hours of harvest. Processing fruit quickly is what keeps free fatty acid low, and it is the single biggest determinant of whether a cargo meets export grade or gets discounted at destination.

Our CPO retains the natural carotene and vitamin E content that gives the oil its characteristic deep red colour and high nutritional value. We control the supply chain from the plantation gate onward: fruit is graded on arrival, mill output is sampled per batch, and every lot is tested for free fatty acid, moisture and impurities, and deterioration of bleachability index before it is accepted into our tank storage.

Buyers use our crude palm oil across food manufacturing, edible oil refining, soap and detergent production, cosmetics, animal feed formulation and biodiesel feedstock. Because CPO is semi-solid at ambient temperature, we load it heated into flexitanks, ISO tanks or new 200-litre steel drums depending on volume and destination, and we manage the temperature protocol through to the port of discharge.

Every shipment travels with a full document set: certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, SONCAP documentation where applicable, bill of lading, packing list and an independent pre-shipment analysis report. If you are importing Nigerian CPO for the first time, our export management team handles the customs and certification pathway end to end so the cargo does not stall at either border.

Questions

Crude Palm Oil: frequently asked

What is the minimum order quantity for crude palm oil from Nigeria?
Our standard minimum is one 20 ft container, roughly 20 metric tonnes, whether loaded as a flexitank or in drums. Larger programmes ship as 40 ft loads or ISO tanks, and we run repeat monthly contracts for buyers with steady demand.
What free fatty acid level does your crude palm oil meet?
We supply CPO at 5% FFA maximum as standard, which is the common export grade. Lower-FFA parcels can be arranged for refiners with tighter requirements. Tell us your target and we will confirm availability and pricing against it.
How is crude palm oil shipped and does it solidify in transit?
Palm oil is semi-solid below about 33 °C, so bulk cargo is loaded heated and carried in insulated flexitanks or ISO tanks. We supply the heating and discharge protocol with the shipping documents so your receiving terminal can plan the reheat correctly.
Which documents come with a CPO shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, an independent pre-shipment analysis report from SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek, and any SONCAP documentation your destination requires.
